No, its from a Canadian dealer of small arms. I have dealt with him many times in the past but he specializes more in the firearms side of things

It looks legit, for sure. I suppose it is all about trust. I assume there's no paperwork?
I'd love to have it myself.

Nothing against swords, but isn't this the wrong forum?

Swiss would have had any part in, and there is no markings of any sort that I have been able to locate on there, and there is a glued leather portion on the handguard to prevent the sword from rubbing on the scabbard.
Any thoughts would be appreciated as I don't know if I should be asking to return it at this point.
Sub-standard workmanship plus no markings = not a Swiss weapon. Send it back.
P.S. It could be a genuine blade that has been "recycled" with a poorly finished modern casting for the handle.

It might possibly be the wrong forum, I just didn't want to sign up for another one. I figured there would hopefully be some Swiss collectors on here knowledgable about this.

I'm with Patrick on this one. No markings and questionable workmanship.

Well I am going to try and return it for in store credit. I have never had a issue with him, so I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt (plus he has lots of things I want which I know are authentic).

If its related to a Swiss rifle or even arms I am fine with the posting.
