    Finnish capture Dragoon

Here is the 1923 Ishevsk Finnishicon capture Dragoon I received 2 weeks ago. Is it odd that it is not in a Finnish stock? Counter bored about and inch and no import makings. Double 41 markings.

Outstanding find! Not odd that it's not in a Finn stock. Most of my Finn 91/30s are in a Russianicon stock. I think the ones that got Finn made stocks are post war rebuilds, and the ones with spliced Russian stocks may be wartime rebuilds. My 1930 Izhevsk Dragoon has a Russian stock. I also have a 1923 Tula dragoon that may or may not be Finn used in a Russian stock. (This rifle has no Finn markings, but seems to have a tall Finn front sight blade.)

The Finns used every part that was usable on their guns. A Russianicon stock is correct for your rifle. I have a couple MN rifles that I am sure are Finn but there is no SA stamp on the barrel. Finn MN rifles are pretty scarce around here and when you find one, are expensive. I am glad I got mine when they were cheap. I could not afford this hobby if I was buying today....chris3

Outstanding! Nicer by far than mine, I love the double hits, I have a few Finns that way but can't figure them out-SDH
