The Dutchman's " House of Karlina " has excellent m/94 and m/94/14 carbine photos . See the link :

A lot of rebuilding occurred on Swedish mausers , so renumbered or over stamped to match is common . You need to post photos once you get it . The Mauser numbers have different font than the Swedish numbers & that sound like what you are seeing in the numbers 2 or 5 . Check original parts for Mauser crowns , which have a sagging base line . Swedish crowns have a straight base line & the HVA crowns are tilted on a 45 degree angle . The patch on the bottom of the butt stock means it was once a fortress carbine & has been updated to the side mounted sling . Common to see cracks at the rear tang on many different Mausers . A loose nosecap ?????? Meaning loss of wood ?

Thanks for the link.
You seem correct about the varying "5" fonts. The bolt, etc. of Dutchman's third example looks different than much of the rest of the carbine.
It may be a bit before I get this carbine home, too many things going on vying for funds! And most all of my trigger pulling is with long range handguns of late. Occupies a lot of attention and time. Thinking of trying a "Red 9" Mauser broomhandle for giggles, though. Trigger's not the best, and no windage correction, but the sight settings are just right, in theory!
