Launching grenades with the powerful grenade launching round is exactly what has chipped and cracked so many carbine stocks at the tang of the recoil plate.

Inland44,
I'm sure your right.......
But i could live with that chipped stock (back then) if I was able to knock out a tank or half track.
Today...while in search of choice stocks....you just have to curse that dang launcher.

They can be incredibly accurate too! I have fired many practice grenades from my carbines, but all from the shoulder. Recoil is surprisingly mild. You could easily put a round through a window at 100 yards with a little practice. Yes, I know how expensive those cartridges are, but I have well over 100 in several types of packages as well as some individual loose rounds.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
