Current value???
Hope this post is alright, I read the new members post and didn't find anything about "what's it worth posts"......
I have a couple of mil-surp rifles that I'm thinking about selling and I need an idea of current value.......
First is an FR8......in good condition, very little wear on the metal, the stock has some bumps and bruises.......this one even has the cleaning kit in the tube.......it is missing the rear sight spring and detent. I have shot this one less than a box of mild reloads, can't say how well it shoots.
Second is a 96/38 Swede......in good condition, very good shooter.....has the stock disc, but is in the back of the safe right now so I don't know what it says.
Any ideas what these rifles would bring???
Thanks, Mark

Can't comment on the FR8, haven't seen one sell in Canada. I've got one, but I got it from my dad, and he bought it years ago when they hit the shelves.
The Swede, well it depends. Is it matching? Who made it? When was it made - and is it a modified M91? What is the conition of the bore? How much blueing is on it? I'd say $150 for a shooter to $500 in pristine condition depending on the above questions.

Given the sight issue I wouldn't go over $150-175 for the FR8. A complete, mint one can still be had in the $250 range.

Couldn't say anything about the FR8, but, I just ought a few months ago a type one 96/38, straight bolt for $275. U.S. The stock is a little rough but the metal is near mint, HTH-SDH
