    long buttstock for No 4?

Five years ago my home was broken into and unfortunately there were a couple rifles not locked in the safe at the time...my cherished 1943 Lithgowicon No1MkIII* and a newly acquired 1955 No. 4 Mk. 2 that I had just finished cleaning up (fresh from the mummy). This No.4 was to become the rifle I would use in military matches...well ...

Three years ago we moved into a new home and this winter I had decided to replace the No.4 Mk.2. I have been looking at a few 1955 "new" rifles already out of the wrap that various collectors and dealer have for sale. All of the ones I have looked at have short buttshocks on them! Well...I am 6'3" and every little bit helps when it comes to length of pull. If I can not find a rifle with a long butt on it, I have thought about getting one of the short butt rifles and replacing the butt with a new surplus "long" butt...well that sounds good but all I can find are short or normal length butts. Are there any "L" replacement (new surplus) butts out there, blonde (unstained) beech? Any thoughts?

    Thanks guys, Tony
