Question on shipping a Garand to CA
Having a C&R, can I ship to another C&R in CA, or do I need to go through an FFL in CA to ship a Garand?
Thanks

Actually, you do not even need a C&R in order to ship an M1 Garand to a C&R holder in CA. He is the one required to poses a valid FFL, C&R being OK. Believe it or not, a resident if California, who holds a valid C&R FFL, can receive any long gun that is 50 years old or older and is not banned in CA and the sender can be a private party residing in another state.

Thank you. I thought that was the case, but reading that wonderful CA law I wanted to make sure.

Yep. As long as the receiver is a C&R holder, you'd be perfectly OK to send a Garand to California. There's a newer portion of CA law that applies to 01 FFL's sending firearms into California to an 01 FFL, but C&R (03 FFL) holders are exempt from it.
