    An historic Navy issue Colt M1911!!!

    This Colt was aboard the USS CALIFORNIA on 12-7-1941. It was salvaged form the ship and was in the inventory of VF-1 in 1944!!! The date information in the photo came from the SRS database..

    This old Colt has been there and done that! it was in very poor condition when I bought it, so I had the late Bill Adair restore it... The placard is from my Battleship Display.... ENJOY!!!!

    Great looking pistol John. Some things warrant restoring. Are you going to restore the pistol that was found in a barn? Love to see photos of that one on here.
