42 Tula ex-sniper
Found one amongst 80 rifles that is in VG shape, reburbed with replacement stock etc.The bolt shows signs of being altered back to the straight infantry style from previous bent sniper profile. The thing is when it is in battery it is tight and normal but when out of battery rattles like the parts are loose? Would like to salvage the gun but wondering about a fix or if a replacement bolt would be in order?

If its the bolt that rattles in its slot of the receiver that is very common to Mosin Nagants you have no issue. Some " rattle " more then others but as long as it tightens up in battery your good to go.
