1918 Springfield
Looking at a SA 1903, Serial 91X,XXX. Barrel dated SA 7-18. Flaming bomb. Bolt appears wrong. Stamped R-1 on bottom of bolt handle and the firing pin is park'd (got to be wrong) Stock stamped A.A.S. Sorry no pics yet.
Rough guess on value?

Indeed the bolt is a RIA and desirable. Rifle sounds interesting.

Back from the store. Bolt is stamped R 1 on top of the handle, not the bottom like I said previously. No grasping grooves on the stock. Pretty nice rifle overall. Will try for pics tomorrow when I go back, don't know how good they will be tho. Appreciate all the info/help, it is an interesting rifle!

The rifle you observed will typically sell for about $600 - $700.
Hope this helps.

Ok, bolt is NOT RIA. It is WWII SA replacement bolt. Stock sounds like a 03-A3 stock. I agree with John B. on price. Perhaps even $50.00 less.

Thanks for all the info. As much as I would like a 1918 Springfield I don't think this one justify's the $800 price tag! As usual you guys are great!
