Help on Krag bayonet
Hello. New guy here. I am not a bayonet collector per se, but a military rifle collector. However, I do like to have bayonets on my rifles if possible. I recently acquired a very nice condition Krag bayonet, marked 1896. The problem is that the handles are missing. Could anyone point me to a source for handles and rivets? I could make the handles if I have to, but I need correct-looking rivets to make it look right.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
daveboy

Krag bayonets are very common on Ebay, and not expensive, tryign to regrip yours woudl not make it worth anymore and it woudl possibly be easier to get one with grips of Ebay. Riveted grips do not turn up often as they are difficult to strip off bayoents without damage. You may be able to get a poor Krag with decent grips and strip it off Ebay

what he said mostly , im not certain how 'cheap' they are going , but ive not tried selling any lately , if you like yours and your any good with wood , make your own , they are not available readily or cheaply ,
