I remember guys carring this Russel, IIRC they were issued to the Airborne Regiment. The third sheath is the one. I have an issue jack knife around some where, if I can find it I will post photo.

Thanks O/S I have a few of those with different dates. I had no idea who was using them or where. The first one we got was a large thick blade version, 1950's vintage. We've gotten a few since off of E-Bay with variations in size and thickness, my favorite is still the big one, it looks very well used, really cool looking. Sometime in the near future I hope to post some of these on this site. One question, did that rider knife come originally, none of ours have them? Many thanks-SDH

I was issued the Groham as stated in the photo, we used to call them riggers knives, but upon started para rigger training I was issued a riggers knife. The Grohams were issued because they were made in good old pictou NS, as for a battle knife I was issued a Bayonet

I've seen a few of those, but, I have to draw the line somewhere so I stay with fixed blade and daggers. Many Thanks-SDH

There is a new issue bayonet that is very much like the HK version ,it looks great and I belive it is made by colt but is not the best steel 440A.
I wish they would have used a carbon steel or at least a better quality stainless.

I have my old RCN Clasp knife. AT the time I ws issued mine they were issuing ones without the metal grips. Both clasp knives were identical otherwise.
Take Care
