    Banner Mauser Rifle

Not sure what I bought on line. Advertised as a Banner Mauser 7x57MM. Have not taken to
gunshop/smith yet to check cal. It is a Mauser-Werke A-B. Oberndorf A./N., word BANNER on top of receiver above front of bolt, Serial B673xx, about 21" barrel, Nazi Eagle facing left
(on top of Globe) small, on the top of bolt handle where it meets body of bolt. Non matching
serial on above floor plate of "mag" well. Number 88 on thumb safety and on top of metal
to which safety is attached. Can anyone HELP identify what I have or guide me?
    Thank you, Joe

Check the Germany - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here)

There's an entry for 1934 "Banner" Mauser (Mfg by Mauser Werke AG, Oberndorf a/N) (click here)

Check the markings on yours against this MKLicon entry and see if that helps ...

    Regards,
    Doug

As I said, click on the links I provided for you in the previous post and compare your "Banner" Mauser with the one in the MKLicon ...

Banner refers to the logo"MAUSER". You will not find the word "Banner" on the rifle. Really need to see a photo.
