    Parker Hale sight repairs

Does anyone know where a fellow can get a Parker-Hale sight repaired or maybe just some information on disassembly of the windage arm stem?

So far as I know, Fultons at Bisley are the only ones that have some spares. That said, springs, the ball bearings and screws are common. Alas, the same can't be said for the lead screw threads which are a fitters nightmare. At the latter days oif P-H and AJP's, even they were struggling to find spare parts to repair their sights. Serves 'em right I say for making life difficult for customers in the past.

Funny how manufacturers do that another example was P&H cranes as almost all of their seals and various crane components were not a standard size you could get off the shelf but either too large or too small so you were forced to buy genuine from them at an accordingly high price as if the wheels of the crane ain't turning its not earning money.

That's a short sighted tactic by manufacturers - one criteria in a lot of tender specs relates to life time cost and availability of parts at reasonable prices. You might fall for it once, but twice?

I made a tool to undo the spanner nut, using turned-down Allen screws. Probably got it somewhere in the shed. Once the knob is off, then you may find the screws securing the end of the yoke have loosened, which induces lost motion (sometimes you can see the two parts moving apart and together again as you wind left or right).
David Little (Sporting Guns) bought a big jumbled lot of spare parts for them when P-H closed down, and I had some useful bits from them.

    Rnejned--

I am assuming that your looking for a windage screw for the Parker Hale sight. I have had success here since your located in the States. Evans Custom Screw and Machine. sstonehill@knology.net If you're looking for the knob itself that maybe a bit tricky. I had to buy a broken sight to get the parts that I needed.
