Seller says:
WTS Martini Enfield 1897 ME .303 British
Pains me to do this, but...
Originally made in BSA & MC Co. 1885 in 577/450.
Converted to Martini Enfield by Enfield 1897 to .303 British
Overall Condition is Antique VG +, Blue is 90%
Bore is shiny with a small amt of frosting but very clear and distinct rifling.
(Best 1897 303 bore I have seen). This rifle has the cleaning rod.
Woods is walnut original c/w hard to find wood hang guard (has a few cracks from the
delicate nature of this hand guard design). Sold out of service stamped, double facing arrows.
Crisp trigger, shoots well, but I have not sighted it in, shot it to see what it was like.
Repro period sling and ME bayonet (Come with what is left of the sheath).
Bayoent is EFD marked 97' for the year. all original
Pictures to come asap
$1400 + del

Peter
