    F/S MP-44 12(3) C/A + Ammo (click here)

If you can't view the advertisement, it's probably due to the fact that you have to subscribe to the EE (Equipment Exchange) forums on CGN in order to view them, or the ad has been deleted.

    Seller says:

    F/S: Converted Auto 12(3) MP-44 STG

Excellent condition, looks like it just came off the line, not restored/refurbished, includes one magazine pinned to 5 rds, plus 500+ rounds of 1950's East Germanicon ammo. Price: $3000.00 + shipping.
Prefer sales in the Toronto area, as the ammo is heavy and will be expensive to ship.
PM me with your e-mail address and I will forward photos of the rifle to serious buyers.
    Thanks for looking.

    Mac

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I think he'll get piles of offers for the ammo, not so many for the rifle. Very narrow audience for a $3k prohib rifle when there's shootable versions available.

I do so hate the "email for pics" ads. By all that is holy, get a photobucket account and post some pics in your ad!!!!

If I win the 6/49 I'm going to buy every 12(3) I can to keep that from happening. Probably best to bury some shipping containers while I'm at it, too.

And that's the whole problem, isn't it? He'd get the $3k or more real quick if you could shoot it, even with all the restrictions there used to be for the CA's. The CA's are worth more deactivated, these days.

I've got a MkIII Sten I never got to shoot. The transfer was ongoing when they ripped out the SAP process. I had to buy a M305 to shoot the 7.62 Nato I stocked up with for my FAL and G3. I'm also willing to bet that not one life/kitten/bunny was saved by the change in rules either.

I'll glady rescue the Stg for you if you want to buy it, Sigismund.

    LOL

We ought to start a Military and civilian heritage foundation, which will get government funding to buy and preserve, and test fire, old milsurps which we cant own due to the age discriminatory gun laws.

    Its only fair.
