    Markings on Martini Henry MkIV.

Here is an 1887 MH MkIV I picked up some time ago from Atlanta Cutlery. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a couple of markings on the the buttstock and foregrip of this rifle. On the buttstock is '21P', and below that is the number 1166. 21 Punjabis? Second marking in question is on the underside of the forestock. I have absolutely no clue what it is, maybe someone out there has a similar marking on theirs?

Actually, now that I see it up close, it looks like the mark under the forestock is '139'...

I really hate to do this an the moderators will probably slap me. But in this case if you want a good evaluation you need to go where the largest body of knowledgeable of persons are to get your answer. Suggest you post these pictures on Domain Names, Web Hosting and Online Marketing Services | Network Solutions.

With my limited knowledge I see rebuild marks for Allahabad in November 1908.
