    MK IV, Pattern A

I have an excellent condition MK IV A Pattern with blade bayonet, but without any markings to indicate use or transfer to Nepal. I know nearly nothing about these rifles, I found 40 rounds of ammo manufactured in the mid 60s. This appears to be the more rare of the MK IV patterns.

Is this unusual, can I shoot it?

The ammunition might be worth more to a collector.

Many pictures of the markings on the Rifle would allows the experts to comment.

A lot of older ammo came in 5-10 years back. Much of it is reported to go "Click_Bang". There is a more active martini forum over on the Britishmilitaria site. I have a MKIV and MKII, from the Nepal cash, that I shoot, and they are not perfect.
