Gun Show find
I went to a gun show in Tombstone this weekend hoping against hope that I would find a Saginaw to complete my collection. The last few shows have had next to no carbines,at least none worth mentioning.Well I was walking around and I ended up buying a really sweet receiver marked Saginaw SG with SG on the front left side of it.Best of all,I got it for a whopping $40.00 It isnt a whole carbine like I was looking for but Im extremely happy with it now I can build one. The guy that had it said that it was included with 3 carbines that he bought and he had no use for it.I looked it over with a fine tooth comb as did a some friends to see if it was a reweld and it isnt, the sight dovetail is staked but lightly. The finish is dark with the greenish tint.He had his whole family there selling some ammo and rifle cases. He also had 5 boxes of PMC 30 carbine for $10.00 each but a guy was paying for them as I saw them. I dont mind I snagged the receiver, then my cousin and I went to Big Nose Kates to celebrate my find

Nice find. Tombstone, home of my favorite grave site. And I quote, "Here Lies Les Moore, Killed With Four Slugs From A .44....No Less No More." May he RIP.

I know a guy the got a wife that way ,,piece by piece . Wifes & Girlfriends cost twice as much getting them thay way . LOL . One can make more money off a carbine by selling it piece by piece . The value of the parts exceed the assembled value on run of the mill CMP carbine . Sorry I could not resist the comparision .
