    SMLE Foresite Blades

Can anybody tell me the complete list (sizes) of foresite blades for the No1 MkIII SMLE please?
As "issued" rather then than the target types that AJ Parker/Parker-Hale produced, having said that if there was a printed list of AJ's foresites I would be interested in that as well.

I have the complete list for the No 4

    TIA

    Cheers Alan,
I think it might be sensible to post the No 4 blades sizes in this thread as well, so here goes:

    -0.030
    -0.015
    ZERO
    +0.015
    +0.030
    +0.045
    +0.060
    +0.075
    +0.090

    In the 1945 Parts list for the No4 Mk1 & 1* it shows only 8 sizes :
    -0.030
    -0.015
    0
    0.015
    0.030
    0.045
    0.060
    0.075

In the 2002 Canadianicon National Defence "PARTS IDENTIFICATION LIST
RIFLE, .303 CALIBRE, LEE ENFIELD, No 4, ALL MARKS" there are 12 sizes listed :
    -0.045
    -0.030
    -0.015
    0
    0.015
    0.030
    0.045
    0.050
    0.060
    0.075
    0.090
    0.120

I guess the 'answer' for the No4 is somewhere between 8 and 12 sizes

Maybe now is the time to do a short (?) article about the foresight blades. It got very complicated for Armourers due to the fact that ................. leave it to me for a day or so and I'll write it all down. It might suprise you
