*** October 2013 Purchases ***
This thread is a regular feature of The Members Showcase, designed for members to display pictures of their purchases made during the current month.
You can link directly to your pics at your own personal off-site web storage space, however, remember that MILSURPS.COM provides all Registered Members the ability to upload directly and store up to 8 Megabytes of personal pics (60 pics per post), which are automatically displayed as thumbnails in your posts. If you are a Contributing Member (click here), then the amount of storage space is UNLIMITED. Refer to the picture photo montage below, which demonstrates how pics uploaded to MILSURPS.COM are displayed at the bottom of an individual post.
If you're not sure how to upload or handle pics, then read the thread titled How do I upload or post images on MILSURPS.COM? (click here)

A way late entry and rather pitiful. US$50 for both a Snider and some sort of Belgian P/53 copy carbine kluge. The Snider looks like a P/56 or 58 Carbine conversion, but may be just a cut down thing. Stock is cracked badly on the far side of the lock. Bore's not bad, though. Photos to follow if things ever settle down!

What's really sad is the Belgian "Tower" rifled musket carbine thing was thrown in as an afterthought! Even sadder is I couldn't give it away to a friend. Oddly, it may have seen some sort of colonial or cadet use, but by whom I can't imagine what with an 1875 lockplate date.

Because of the Indian Mutiny, native and colonial troops were given smooth bore muzzleloaders and obsolete arms for quite a long time afterwards.
