found this 1911 LSA at the January RK gun show in springfield, mo. the buttstock indicates an FTR of 04/45. the barrel confirms with a barrel/re-barrel date of 03/45. bolt and action match, tho they have been renumbered, i suppose to coincide with Australian standards. i tried to take a picture of the sight spring with sports the "OA" australian mark. bore has good riflings and some darkness. saafety looks australian, too. the copper draw reinforcements are present. wonder how she got way down under? pre-WWI no1mk3s are hard to come by where i live. i wish she was original. oh well...

Strange, all the years that I have belonged to Milsurps today is the first day I have seen this forum. Oh well, let me dive in (late for January). This rifle made me break my New Years resolution of "no new guns for 2017".
HRA 5.7 mil M1 Garand. It is an Anniston rebuild (A4 2-65) with a commercial stock (I assume, since there are no stamps on the stock).
