M1903A3 Smith Corona
Hello Mil Surp Collectors. My question this evening is this: Would, during an arsenal refurb involving a Smith Corona receiver and barrel, ever be fitted with a stock having an 'RA' stamp on it. I am interested in purchasing this 1903A3 in this configuration and I am trying to piece meal the history and determine it's authenticity. Help! Thank you.

SC M1903A3 rebuilds often had Remington parts as replacements.

Weapons techs before, during and after W.W. II did not and do not care who made what part. Said parts came out of a parts bin and got put on as required. An arsenal rebuild involved getting the thing out and back in service as quickly as possible.
"...purchasing this 1903A3..." Think over all condition first, then price.
