As soon as I can find out how to get pics on here from my phone, I will. In the meantime..
Found a 1945 dated Izhevsk M44 carbine at the gun show today. Un-rearsenalled, with Hungarianicon bolt and Hungarian magazine follower. There is 'ANA' carved in the left hand side of the stock. A sweetheart? Political group? I have to think the former. There is also a 65 in a circle marking on the buttplate, have never seen that before. Also, the rear sight is stamped with a B in a circle, which I believe is a Budapest marking. May be wrong. All in all, a pretty interesting piece. I will get pics on here as soon as I can. I know it's a long shot, but the Hungarian parts along with the 'ANA' carving just have to make me think this carbine has some connection to that conflict.
