    Which type wood?

Need to know which wood (furniture) is correct for my No.4 MK1,dated 1944,serial #BL189**.I have no stock for it and I want to put it back original, just like it was when it left Maltby,or as close as I can get it.
I have researched this matter extensively for the past month.I know Walnut and Beech was used. There is no FTR stamp on it.From what I have read,Beech was used after they FTR'ed them.
My question is, did any of them get a Beech wood stock when it was first made?
Also,is the Ribbed Rear Handgaurd original for a Maltby issued gun?
I have seen many Long Branch and Savage with them.
What kind of stamp markings would be on the wood for a Maltby?
Please excuse the quality of the pictures, had to use Phone camera.

"My question is, did any of them get a Beech wood stock when it was first made?"

My 1941 Maltby is stocked up in Beech and it's the original furniture. Likewise my '41 BSA. Beech and Walnut were used whenever either type became available.

"Also,is the Ribbed Rear Handgaurd original for a Maltby issued gun?'

Ribbed handguards were produced and used without any pattern whatsoever up until about 1949(estimated).
