Swiss serial# question
Hello everyone,
New member looking to purchase some k31's rifles. Both are 8xxxxx series so most likely made after or during 1944. From my research due to supply shortages, Chromium Molybdenum Steel was use in place of Chromium Nickel Steel on various parts in 1944.
I would like to know more on the matter, is Chromium Molybdenum Steel a downgrade from chromiun nickel steel? very curious about this
And what serial# would be more collectible in some way? I know the sniper version are pretty rare so is the ZFK-55.
Feels like later production have a lot of perks like the firing pin, receivers and magazines but not sure about the substitute steel.
Regards

Although I own a 1945 K31 and have read a lot about them I am by no means an expert. I was able to find this information. My rifle has the electro penciled replacement Chrominum-Nickel bolt locking sleeve.
