Ross Sporter DPC Stamped
Recently examined a .303" Ross M-1910 factory sporter with the DPC stamp on the barrel in front of the receiver. I speculate that this is one of the 350 unknown Ross rifles purchased by the RN in 1915 along with Winchester and Remington rifles which were marked with the same stamp.

Would it be a 1910-E or a 1910-R sporter? Stock chequered or plain?
Sounds like just the "Dominion of Canada Proof" seen on most Rosses?
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.
