How do I zero a TEL STG NO 32 MK 3?
I have a:
TEL. STG. No32 MK III
O.S. 2039 A
AK & S No 17537
1945
Mounted on a:
#4 MK 1 (T)
M 47 C
1944
R32825
TR
I fired this last week at a 100 yard zero target (12x12) at 100 yards. Using 0 and 1 for range and 0 for deflection; 0 out of 20 hit paper. I have been unable to find a basic instruction for zeroing this scope. This is my first Enfield optic. I have 13 Lee Enfields of various models.
Also; elevation and deflection move freely.
I have The Lee Enfield by Skennerton and just purchased a copy of An Armourers perspective...#4 (T). Please feel free to pm/email(mmoran8203@aol.com)
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Mike

Simple. Move in to 25 yds and use a 3ft square paper with a single target paster for a zero mark. Use 0 and 0 and see where you are. Shoot carefully and adjust for vertical line. Then go out to 100. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you've done this dozens of times. So have I and I'd never start at 100 yd to zero. Not even if the rifle had been on a collimator first...

I opened all the doors on one floor of the house and pinned a small target on the furthest wall, positioned the rifle firmly in a vise with the bolt removed and bore sighted onto the target as precisely as possible. Then adjusted the scope accordingly. I took it to the range, started at 25 metres and progressed from there. With the Armalon rail and a small Germnan ZF4, it´s now accurate at 300 metres. But am not satisfied with the clamp type rail and am waiting for RP´s traditional mount which, together with a Trijicon 1 inch tubed, illuminated scope should be the ultimate.

Thanks for the responses
Everyone;
Thank you for the responses.
BAR-Actually, I'm just starting to use optics. Next in the collection to shoot is a 91/30 w/PU and a Yugo M76. I've been an Iron sight shooter since I was 12. I retired from the US Army in 2001, even with an Infantry background, other than Night Vision and spotting/crew served optics; basically iron sights. Even with glasses or contacts...target? what target?
Cinders-I have sent an email inquiry for that book. Thanks, again. That is a great reference. I have about 800 rounds of the MK VII left. I'll use that. "The Target"-funny.
Villiers-Again, thanks for the advice. I have 3 KAR 98s. 1 is a bring-back, 2 Russian captures. Eventually, I plan to mount a ZF-39 short side rail to one of the Russian captures.
I should get to the range next week and put into practice your advice.
Thanks, again;
Mike

The bayonet on the No5 rifle looks VERY long unless it's camera angle - or just the wrong scabbard. Strictly speaking, while it fits, the No7 bayonet fitted to the 5th rifle down is for a Sten Gun and the old No4 should have a simple spike (the No4) or rudimentary blade (the No9)

Appreciate the correction. The Bayonet on the #5 is a repro. For the #4, I'll pull a spike from my bayonet rack and swap it out.
Sample of the Armory. US weapons(sans FN-FAL)
Partial view
Enjoy, Regards;
Mike

On our open license we have a magazine capacity restriction as well of 5 rounds.
That sucks as if you are in a large mob of goats at a watering hole you want to start at the rear of the mob work'em over to the front then get the ones coming back from the front of the mob
I feel for you. I really do. I live in Pennsylvania. I have a Curio and Relics firearms license myself. I also have a License to carry a firearm. Pennsylvania is a shall issue state. Funny thing about the US; the places with the greatest restrictions; usually have the greatest violent crime. Go figure. Pennsylvania is an island, in a sea of firearm tyranny. Every election we sweat out the results.
I'm glad you enjoyed the sample of the collection. the majority of my weapons are bolt action and early semis. I have some modern weapons; however, I'm really an historical collector.

All bring-backs. Just picked up the Radom last month.
