Not a bad week for Enfield snipers
Truly not a bad week for Enfield snipers. Enforcer 665 was delivered earlier in the week (thanks Mark), and my matching Long Branch 90 series 4t just arrived off GunBroker.
I guess I'll be doing some gun cleaning this weekend in the workshop.
Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge with me.
David

Bought my third L42A1 on the weekend. And a Ross with a PPCo scope. Guess I can count myself to the thread title

So was the 90L Long Branch the one that someone had scratched thier name and some kind of number all over it? A shame they defaced it like that but still a rare rifle.

Yes that's it. The guy was very thorough. He marked it in three places. The buttplate and magazine bottom, not a problem as replacement parts are on their way. Also in a small spot on the scope bottom, between the bracket legs. I'd rather it not be there, but otherwise the rifle is pretty darn nice. I will pick both up from my dealer tomorrow and will clean them up this weekend.
As for photos, for some reason I never can post them to this forum. Wish I could figure that out.

Given the topic I will bet a Milsurps Moderator can help sort that out.

It sounds like you will get her fixed up nice then. Good to hear the marking on the scope was on the bottom. It won't be noticeable at all. It did look like a pretty nice rifle. I am looking forward to pictures, too.

Was that the 90L that did the disappearing act?
