    anyone ever do a registry

has there ever been an attempt to create an M1icon Carbine registry?
i have an very early un-issued underwood , and i am thinking of getting another as close to the serial number as the one i have, and i thought finding one would be eassier if it was logged into some sort of registry
    thanks

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Don't know if you belong to the Carbine Club, there is a on going file kept.

Roger solicited some of us (38 or so) a year ago. And he started a list.

I started one ten years ago. I got several dozen people to send me their numbers. Now I have three hundred or so numbers. A lot of interesting things start to show up. I would have people send me their numbers and I would add them to the list and send them the list. As far as I can tell no one but I used it for anything. I sent it to MB and he was impressed by what I had without access to CC records. I have not added to my list in years.

If there is anything you want to save from that thread you should start keeping copies.
They are planning to redo the site sometime this year and, if I understand correctly, all previous info will not be brought over.

    Regards,
    Denny
