Last Ditch via auction
I spent 3 hours sitting on my butt while the auctioneer sold the contents of an entire estate! The 99 rifle came up as one of the last items. I outbid somebody and got the rifle for $80.00.
No rust, great bluing, Good bore, (shot the rifle several times and the bore got better). All numbers match including bolt which has a blob safety. Mum removed.
Rifle is a Nagoya Arsenal but the series mark can not be read even with high magnification. Serial number is 3993 with everything else marked 993. Any suggestions for the series?
Short extractor on bolt. Large recoil bolt in stock. Varient fixed peep. Welded/pinned front band.Etc..
Unusual thing is somebody took an M1 carbine sling and attached to the rifle. Sling shows lot of use and is very dirty. Has solid metal tips and a "lift the dot" with out the words being there.

Ok... gotta see photos!
I have "my" last ditch rifle... every Japanese collector has to have at least one!
But I am always looking for one that is more CRUDE than my current model.... I have a last ditch bayo for mine....
I paid over $100 for mine.... I think you probably got a good deal!
