    Need help with photo please

This is one of my favorite photographs of men at war. Unfortunately I couldn't find any info regarding who the soldier is or when and where it was taken.
General consensus is that it is a SAS soldier in Oman or Darfur.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Yes, the fellow is named in one of the many SAS books that have been published since the 1960's. But I never cared to take note. The rifle of course is an L42 and peeking out of the Bergan is a US M79 40mm grenade launcher.

I googled 22 SAS Oman and stumbled onto a few more shots from that same "shoot" on /stansfieldclothing.blogspot.com/. The next hit was to a book SAS: Operation Storm: Secret War in the Middle East (Greenhill Military Paperback) (Paperback) by Major General Tony Jeapes Cb Obe Mc The geographic area was Dhofar province in western Oman.
