Improving standard trigger on P14
Does anyone have any links or info about improving the standard issue military trigger on a P14 Remington? The rifle is pretty much original, purchased from a deceased estate, and has not been refinished or modified in any way ( apart from the standard removal of volley sights etc) I have no intention of doing anything with it apart from keeping it totally stock and range shooting with my own handloads, and would like to tidy up the trigger a little. I am only looking at smoothing it up and maybe a touch lighter, so honing and polishing would probably be the extent of it. Any advice appreciated, cheers

Just using a stone on the bearing surfaces will do a great deal most of the time. Just use a fine stone and don't take off too much.

Thanks for the advice. I also have a buffing /polishing wheel, which I use for recovering old motorcycle parts and other engineering projects. I may polish the wearing surfaces carefully after using a fine honing stone. It is tempting to fit a timney trigger, speedlock firing pin etc, but I might save that for a non original or sporterised P14. Cheers.

I would use a Timney as a first choice and save the original to the side. Be careful stoning and avoid the buffing wheels. The polish work is fine and not very much needs to be done.
