This is a bit of a funny story. About five years ago I wanted to order a No4 Mk 1. I went to a dealer site, selected one and phoned about the item, referencing the item number. What arrived was a No4 Mk2, a 1950 Faz, all matching with a tag that had the correct item number and "No4 Mk1" on it.

I didn't complain, because at the time I didn't know very much about Lee Enfields, but I knew what I liked. It was in perfect condition and required no cleaning. Plus I didn't really want to mess with it other than regular gun maintenance.
Fasf Forward five years.

A Recent bout of Enfielditis brought a SMLE and a Long Branch, both of which needed major cleaning and BLOicon.

Which brings me to today when I decide to wipe the wood of the No4 Mk2 with some Murphy's and give it a BLOicon job .

It wasn't very dirty, but look what the BLO brought out.

Sorry for the picture quality but I have the world's oldest digicam.
