    1912 Ross cadet

Good day everyone! I acquired this 1912 Ross cadet this past summer. The rear peep assembly was seized and the "lollipop" aperture was broken off. I got the sight freed up and made a lollipop for it. I have seen pics of rifles with just the aperture hole in the lollipop and I have seen pics of a couple of rifles that have a removable aperture screwed into the lollipop. I have actually seen more pics without the aperture screwed in. Does anyone know if the rifle should have an aperture screwed into the lollipop or should it be the way I have it now. I'm thinking the rifles that had the screwed in removable apertures were modified at some point.

Looks like a very nice example! There's a data spreadsheet being built over at rossrifle.com if you want to contribute your info there.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
