hr 357 handi rifle
can anyone explain why i can shoot 3/4 inch groups with fmj ammo and 4 inch groups with cast lead bullets i have tried different brands of ammo, hand loads and same trouble.:: lead all over fmj real tight this is at 50 yards with a scope and bench rest I PUT THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE BUT WOULD STILL LIKE AN ANSWER SORRY

I suspect it is either your rifling twist rate, or the depth of the grooves or both. Different twists will affect hard and softer bullets differently. I have a .357 barrel for my H&R but have never shot it, so I am speculating

What .357 FMJ ammo? You speaking about jacketed ammo or plated? Plated ammo isn't jacketed.
Oh and your rifle doesn't like cast bullets. Mind you, which cast bullet weight matters too.
