My Remington M1917
I picked up this Remington M1917 about a year ago, came with the 1918 Remington Bayonet & WWII Type Scabbard. Looking at the "UNITED STATES RIFLE MODEL OF 1917" book by C.S. Ferris the serial number on my rifle seems high at 672910 Barrel 4-18. Are they any firn serial number ranges for each of the three companies that built the M1917?

No, barrels could be several months out of receiver (3 or so depending on mfg) if its more than that its getting more like a replacement.
Your SN should be more in the 9 to 11/18 range.
Or to shift it around, the barrel would match up with a 220xxx date receiver.
always possible a misplaced receiver got fed in, other may have better info but straight up it looks like a replacement.
