Question M1 Carbine pouch - real or reproduction?

    Hi All!

I'm looking to see if I can get some help determining if this pouch is real or a reproduction. I found it at a surplus store in such great shape, I [I]had[I] to buy it. As I drove home, I wondered about the shape and the possibility of it being in too good shape to be real.

It is marked "KADIN 1943" on the pouch back and contains a snap button fastener marked "RAU FASTENER CO. PROV R.I.". There is no marking on the front closure.

My preliminary research showed me two things: 1). Kadin was a manufacturer of these pouches in 1943, and 2). There are A LOT of reproductions of these pouches out there.

I have attached pictures (hope they come through) for review.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers!

Thing is, they made so many that they'll be appearing in new condition in 200 years...
