Serial number 108967 would that be a Krag
rifle or a Krag carbine serial number? Thanks

Mallory is showing his age.
Regardless, 108967 is a very late 1896 rifle. Highest known 1896 serial: 109232. Lowest 1898 is 109292.
"Summer of 1898" for production.
1896 carbines are in the blocks 246XX - 355xx and 67xxx-79xxx.
