I discovered that I have been collecting oilers for milsurps and did not realize it. I have quite a fair number of different containers. Now I am seeking out any and all variations that I can get my hands on. I am curious if anyone else collects these interesting pieces.

Here's a site that has a lot of great info on Enfield oilers, which I assume you're aware of, so this post is primarily for the new folks who might be thinking about collecting these very interesting and relatively inexpensive pieces of military surplus accessories.

Not just oilers, but accessories in general. Ammo pouches, correct slings, bayonets, frogs, etc. It never ends - thank god!

I have only one oiler

its a nice enfield marked brass one I got it in a box of misc junk at a gun auction, paid $8 for the box that included a few other tradeable parts.

But I can easily see how collecting them could be highly addictive
