What can Someone tell me about my .22?
Can Someone tell me about my .22? I had posted some poor quality photos before, so I took some better ones. All numbers match. Missing upper-rear handguard.

Looks to e a Sht.22 MkII Naval trainer made from a cut down Sparkbrook Magazine Lee Metford MkII. The correct rear HG is a ShtLE Mk1 handguard with integral steel sight protector wings.

Are these wings part of the handguard or do they protrude up from under the barrel? The bottom stock doesn't have provision for the sight protector wings.

They are part of the handguard and are VERY hard to get. "Enfieldlock" over on Gunboards produced some excellent reproductions recently. Maybe worth getting in touch with him to see if he had any left. I think they went for around $100 or so. An original would be about $200 - IF you can find one.
The take the same handguard as this rifle in the MKL:
