Vickers Luger?
I know zip, zero, zilch about Lugers. I think I read something once that said Vicker sold some Lugers in the inter-war period.
Can anyone share some info on these pistols?
Thanks,
Steve

I've only ever seen one - they are rare. Other than that, I don't remember much about them as I read it YEARS ago in a Luger book, but if I recall, Vickers made guns, not just reselling German ones.

If I recall the article I read correctly, there was doubt that Vickers actually made the pistols. The thought was that they had somehow acquired the made-in-Germany pistols for sale abroad when that was not allowed under the Versailles Treaty.
Any idea of the value?

Limited in Canada, they are all prohibs!
In the states, probably $1500 or so.

I think you're probably low. Rare Lugers go for huge money at the "classy" dealers like Simpsons.
I think that a decent condition Vicker's marked luger would go for $4000ish in the 'States.
As you said though, here in Kanada $700-1500 is going to be all you can squeeze unless you're dealing with an advanced collector.

Well, it's not a Vickers, just a DWM. I should have some pics in the next day or two.
