Norinco SKS Rifle
I have a question about the new Norinco SKS rifle designed to take a standard AK-47 magazine. I have only seen a few of them at gun shows, but cannot get a straight answer on the ATF rulling allowing their importation into the US.
So my question is this, does anyone know for certain about the ATF rulling, and what it is, concerning the importation of these new rifles?
Thanks.

From what i've heard the US stopped importing guns from China in the Clinton days, so im not sure how ?new? these rifles are. And just because a gun s banned from importing, take the SVT 40 for example(Thanks again B. Clinton), does not mean it is illeagal to buy/own if its already here.
Im sure someone else around here is more experienced on politics and guns than I am.........
And let me say thank you for wanting to buy a model that already takes the ak mags instead of hacking up a nice rifle.
PEOPLE....if you want a 7.62x39 rifle with 30rd clip BUY A SKS-M, SKS-D OR A FREAKIN AK FOR GOSH SAKES...............

Yes I agree....I have a SKS Norinco and I will use the 10 rnd stripper clips. I have M-1 garands so the strippers seem familiar to me. and If you think of it, it's a lot lighter to carry ammo that way, and less bulky. That's just me.
