Finnish 1891 Mosin with VKT B barrel.
Just picked up a beautiful Finnish 1891 Mosin Nagant yesterday. 1942 dated, receiver reads thus;
SA
B
D
1942
Barrel is also marked VKT. I understand these are Belgian made
blanks, rifled at the VKT factory, and are somewhat desirable as a collectors piece. Also, an upside down A carved into the butt. Pics soon.

Sounds like a winner! Most if not all 'B' barrel M91s and M39s were assembled post continuation war and are basically like new.

Yeah, this one is pretty darn nice. Other than the Finnish markings on the barrel and receiver, there are some stamps on the bolt that I've never seen on a Finn or Russkie Mosin. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can. Really curious about the upside down A on the butt. As they say, 'if they could only talk'.

I just noticed you're right next door to me. I live in Snellville. Where did you find that M91 and how did I miss it?

Homer, everybody is somebody in Snellville! Well, that's what I'm told, anyway.
Found it the typical way, friend says a friend has this gun that he wants to get rid of, doesn't know what it is, etc....I was trying really hard not to seem too excited when he brought it out. Really a nice example.
