Question on stocks for Remngton and Westinghouse Produced M1891 Mosin Nagant rifles
I am considering purchasing a Remington and Westinghouse made M1891 Mosin Nagant rifles, however both have had the original stocks cut down but have not otherwised been bubbafied. Does anyone know of a source for replacement stocks for these rifles or will stocks from a standard 91/30 fit them. Thanks for the help.

A 91/30 stock is 2.5" shorter than a 91 stock so swapping stocks probably won't work. As far as a source, check the ads at Russian - Soviet Area and 7.62x54r.net
The Westinghouse & Remington M1891 stocks (plus those made by the French) were walnut; the Russians and eyeryone else used birch or other woods.
Good luck!
