M1 Carbine Type I Push Safety, Which One?
My Inland serial #105XXX now has a flip safety that I want (I think) to replace with a push Type I. According to Reich (?) both Inland and Winchester used a knurled safety with the Inland having a larger chamfer than the Winchester. From the little hunting I've done for this part it appears that these are a tough piece to find. Would any of the period Type I's be more appropriate than the others? Thanks, John

An Inland push safety would be more appropriate. I have one but its not cheap. There are reproduction push safeties a lot cheaper. And most of them will work
