Does anyone know if the m6 scout (18" barrels) can safely fire the 45 long colt cartridge. Thanks

I don't know if it's safe but manys the man has told me they fire 45 Colt through .410 shotgun. Haven't tried it myself...

.410 shotgun shells can be fired in a 45-70 or in a LONG chambered (2 1/2 or 3") 45 Colt firearm, but the reverse is just asking for dramas. You will be swaging a 0.452 to 0.456" bullet down to 0.410" THEN if the bore's choked down even more! Swaged bullets would be bad, cast would be worse and jacketed worse still.
