Arrow Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifle (CGN Private Ad)

    Ad posted on CGN ....

If you can't view the advertisement, it's probably due to the fact that you have to subscribe to the EE (Equipment Exchange) forums on CGN in order to view them, or the ad has been deleted.

    Seller says:

I was told that the real Mosin -Nagant Sniper Rifles are very rare ,I have what I thing is real but it also could be a reproduced one from the 40's ,this rifle has matching number through out ,gun is in great shape and I am listing it as a replica ,but if it turns out to be a real one then the buyer has scored huge .I am asking $1000 and I came to this price after I called the collects guild and they suggested it .They felt from the pictures I sent it was as close to the real thing as they have seen without physically having it there for examination.
    Regards,
    Badger

I don't know about this rifle, but this seller has some other items on CGN right now that are being discussed as, how do you say, dodgy.

His wording makes me think he's trying to pull a fast one.

No high-speed on the beach in Cuba. Either that or he's had too many Cuba Libre's.

Whenever someone says; "It might be fake, but I'm not sure" kind of crap, you can be almost sure they know it's fake, and simply wish to seem morally superior in case the buyer finds out it's actually a fake.

Nice rifle though. I'd pay 500

BTW, look at the finsih on the magazine, and the worn finsih of the wood surounding it. Seems awfully dodgy. Also, look at the mount finish compared to the receiver. Doesn't look like it has been partnered for long.

Sorry guys, but I have seen it firsthand & if its fake, I will eat my soviet furry cap. Its sold BTW. Interesting case, most identifing marks scrubbed, stock looks like it has a brown shellac or pine tar finish, felt packing under the handguard.
