Not to be nosey but how much did all of it set you back? was it a family hand-me-down or something someone bought from-----? Either way sounds like a great find

The gentleman I got it from has had the Carbine for for twenty years. He inherited it from a dear friend who had passed. He told me the friend had owned it as long he knew him, but did not know were the friend had gotten it. He never shot it untill he decided to sell it, then he took it to a range last week to make sure it worked. He bought some commercial ammo to try it out. The Owens Ill. Can Co. mag was loaded with LC 54 FMJ ammo. I paid in the nieborhood that CMP were selling there service grades for. Its a nice rifle and I'll post some pics. of it later, I need my wife to help me and she is out of town till this afternoon....Frank
