Help with a barrel marking
Hello all! Been a little while since posting but anyways. So I got my 5th SMLE now. Its a 1908 Enfield made SMLE. Taken into Australian service in June 1910 and is WA stamped. All matching and not III*, still a III with no FTR markings on it however has had new forend placed on it. Its been through the works a bit I think. Question I have is that on the Barrel (H Barrel) it has a T stamped on it. Was re-barreled in 3 - '44. What would the 'T' stand for? Blurry pic of barrel but can slightly be made out. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Matt

Thanks mate. The T is a little further back from sight bed. They're crappy pics but the barrel has an H on the knox too. I've been going through all my books but cannot find why the T would be there halfway from sight bed to the knox. The butt, barrel, bolt and nose cap are all matching. Looked and saw that 4MD is SA but on top of receiver is D^D which has been stamped over the WA.

Only reason I could fathom being marked like NSW or WA is that they saw Police service at one point my BWAG, anyone able to shed a light on that type of marking.
